Armor comes in many varieties including furs, leather, chain-mail, and plate-mail. Armor can be real or imitation. Armor points will awarded based on armor appearance. More realistic armor and better looking armor will receive more points.
The maximum number of armor points that you can have also varies by header:
Headers | Maximum armor points |
Fighters |
15* |
Subversives |
10 |
Casters |
5 |
Fighter/Subversive hybrid |
12 |
Fighter/Caster hybrid |
10 |
Caster/Subversive hybrid |
7 |
*Note that Soldier’s armor expertise doubles this value for a total maximum of 30
For people with multiple headers, your true Header determines your maximum armor points. If you have multiple true Headers, please talk to the staff member assigning your armor points.
Below are the maximum values that a piece of armor may have, generally given for very realistic looking armor. Actual armor value is determined by staff at check-in and may be lower than listed below.

Armor may be stacked for more points, meaning that if you have leather armor on top of chain armor you get points from both armor, but you may never exceed the maximum armor points allowed by your header.
Real armor may also receive the following benefits, at the discretion of Staff:
Furs:
To qualify, the player should have an actual pelt or fur. The fur in question should cover a substantial part of the torso. Wearing armor on just your arms and legs does not qualify you for this bonus.
Resist the very first Ice dart that strikes you per event, or after the armor has been repaired to its full value
Leather:
To qualify, the player should have real, sturdy leather armor. The leather in question should cover a substantial part of the torso. Arms and legs do not qualify.
Resist the very first Stun that strikes you per event, or after the armor has been repaired to its full value.
Chain-mail:
To qualify, the player should have a shirt of actual chain-mail.
Short-sleeved: Resist the very first Cleave that strikes you per event, or after the armor has been repaired to its full value.
Long-sleeved: Resist the very first Cleave and Maim that strikes you per event, or after the armor has been repaired to its full value.
Coif: Resist the very first Stun that strikes you per event, or after the armor has been repaired to its full value.
Plate-mail:
To qualify, the player should have a set of actual plate mail.
Chest-plate: Resist the very first Slay that strikes you per event, or after the armor has been repaired to its full value.
Bracers/greaves: Resist the very first Maim that strikes the given limb per event, or after the armor has been repaired to its full value.
Helm: Resist the very first Subdue that strikes you per event, or after the armor has been repaired to its full value.
