1. Characters may only post on the In-Game boards if they have attended at least one event.
Our forums represent in-game messageboards. Characters must have arrived in town in order to write things there. This applies to old players with new characters as well.
A feast event counts. A wargames or convention event does not count.
2. Posts on the in-game board are pieces of paper tacked onto a corkboard.
This may seem obvious, but there are some implications here:
- Do not use in-game boards for text-based roleplay. A post that says, "*hits you with a sword*" may make sense out-of-game but if your character actually wrote that on a piece of paper and put it on a corkboard it wouldn't make any sense at all!
- When writing in the in-game boards, use language and sentence structure as though you were writing a letter, not holding a conversation.
- You may describe the paper, the decoration, the way the page is attached to the board, et cetera. You may also describe the handwriting or change the font. You may even attach images representing drawings, musical scores, and other things. However, do not attach an image of a watermelon and claim you have tacked a watermelon to the corkboard. That does not make sense.
3. Your forum signature and avatar are considered out-of-game.
4. Please sign all in-game posts.
This is most relevant in the case of a forum member changing their character (and with it, their display name.) Doing so will affect all prior posts by that account.
